Brief

TSSL were asked to build a House of Dots by Lego to launch their new dots product. With Lego Dots children can explore different ways to express themselves with bracelets or room decor items they can assemble, design and decorate again and again, there are no rules with these sets, colourful tiles and a child’s imagination. Arts and crafts lovers can dive in and create something new on the go, then re design it at any time.

Artist Camille Walala used millions of elements from the Lego Dots theme to create an interactive space where children and adults should be inspired by the colourful playfulness of DOTS.

TSSL designed, built and installed the LEGO – House of Dots. We were given an initial brief by Lego and artist Camille Walala. This was a very complete structure that would house various rooms. A living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and disco room. This was constructed out of 8 shipping containers and then clad with an external facade.

Case Study: LEGO House of Dots Brand Activation by Trinity Set & Stage Ltd

Trinity Set & Stage Ltd was commissioned to create the House of Dots for the launch of LEGO new Dots product line. LEGO Dots allows children to express their creativity through customizable, colourful tiles, ideal for designing bracelets and room decor. The limitless nature of these sets encourages endless imaginative possibilities, making them perfect for arts and crafts enthusiasts to build, redesign, and personalise at will.

Artist Camille Walala collaborated with LEGO to bring the House of Dots to life, creating an immersive and interactive space designed to inspire both children and adults. Using millions of LEGO Dots, Walala installation celebrated the colourful, playful essence of the product.

Bespoke Brand Activation: Design and Build

Trinity Set & Stage Ltd designed, built, and installed the LEGO House of Dots at Coal Drops Yard, Kings Cross, London. Following a detailed brief from LEGO and Camille Walala, the project involved constructing a dynamic structure across eight shipping containers, each designed to represent different spaces: a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and even a disco room. The external facade was cladded to complete the structures aesthetic, ensuring it was as visually striking on the outside as it was inside.

Bespoke Event Construction & Immersive Experiences

To create a truly memorable experience, Trinity Set & Stage Ltd collaborated with LEGO and artist Camille Walala, using eight shipping containers to form the structural framework, making the House of Dots mobile for global shipping and events. The interior was decorated in a unique LEGO Dots theme, featuring hand-placed LEGO walling, with each room reflecting a different aspect of the LEGO Dots creative experience.

The bespoke exhibition stands included rooms such as a neon-lit room, a child’s bedroom, a ball pit-filled bathroom, and a colourful kitchen and living room. Every detail was meticulously crafted to reflect the playful nature of the LEGO Dots brand. This immersive, branded exhibition and set design made for an unforgettable experience.

Collaboration with LEGO and Camille Walala

Trinity Set & Stage Ltd had the opportunity to collaborate directly with both LEGO and artist Camille Walala to bring a visionary concept to life. This bespoke brand activation allowed for the seamless integration of LEGO Dots into an immersive space, showcasing the true potential of the product and its playful creativity.
