Doom Bar London Beach Rugby is a new and exciting 5 a side Rugby tournament that was hosted for the first time in August 2013, in Covent Garden. The event involved 32 teams and 320 competitors each of them competing for the prestigious Doom Bar trophy.
The inaugural Beach Rugby event was a spectacle to behold in Covent Garden and Trinity are very pleased to have been part of bringing this fantastic event to London.
After a very long day and night of loading, unloading and setting up the ‘Race The Doom Bar Experience’, team Trinity had completed another successful installation.
Working in Covent Garden brings a unique set of problems to hosting an event of this scale. Getting lorries in and out and loading/unloading in a busy pedestrianised square can be quite a task. But having worked here several times before, Trinity were able to overcome any issues with their usual professional approach.
In 2014, Beach Rugby events are planned in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin.
We are hoping based on the great success of this event, we will be back in Covent Garden next year for more Beach Rugby.
